COPY EDITING
Minimum Price = $50 per submission, whether partial or full manuscript
$0.01/word
Terms: 50% paid in advance and 50% upon completion
Copy Editing will include a check of the following elements:
Grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, verb tense, spelling, word choice, consistency, clarity, and elimination of repetition. Adherence to the Chicago Manual of Style.
DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING
Minimum Price = $75 per submission, whether partial or full manuscript
$0.02/word
Terms: 50% paid in advance and 50% upon completion
An overall critique will highlight areas that need expansion, rewriting, or elimination. Does your story start in the right place? Is your first paragraph compelling? Is your POV identifiable and engaging? Does your plot follow a logical, understandable progression? Is the setting too light or heavy? Does your main character undergo a believable change? Are the cast of characters all unique? Does your narration tell, not show? Is the language used in narration and dialogue appropriate for your targeted age group or the storyline itself?
I will also perform a careful Copy Edit as I read, with attention paid to all elements listed above. If you desire a second Copy Edit after your revision, my minimum of $50 will still apply, but I will reduce my Copy Editing rate to $0.008 per word, which represents a 20% discount.

Priced at $125/hour, with a $125 minimum
I can partner with your employees to write compelling website bios or emails and internal documents that follow the four C's: concise, clear, courteous, and consistent. Copywriting or corporate training can be done remotely or in person.
